Amazon Baby Registry Gift Unboxing: March 2019

I am a list person. I have lists for everything in my life. When we started down the foster care journey and narrowed down to newborns, I knew we would need some things that we no longer had. Being that our youngest is 8, we jettisoned our baby gear long ago. Even if we had some stuff, which we didn't, SO much has changed in baby land in 8 years. Doing an Amazon Baby Registry was one of the most helpful things that I did. I didn't do it because I was expecting anyone else to buy anything, I made it to help organize myself. It helped me immensely to see recommended products by category, both in an effort not to miss anything and to see what had changed.

One of the perks of baby registry on Amazon is the baby gift (The other is the 15% off the list, which I will use in the near future). All you have to do is make a baby registry and purchase one item off the list in order to qualify. After that is done, this lovely box shows up at your door. Just as a side note, it is super clear on the outside of the box that this is a baby registry gift, so UPS delivering this is not a great way to keep a secret from your neighbors...

There were some great full sized items in the box, like the swaddle and the bottle and some other great trial sized items. The one thing that puzzled me was the nursing kit that was included in the box. It asked when I created the registry whether I was expecting or adopting. I obviously checked adopting, so it was an interesting choice to include this in the box. I suppose they send the same box to everyone and I will pass that on to my sister in law who can use it. Overall, I would highly recommend Amazon Baby Registry for expecting foster moms. Whether you decide to share it or not, it was a very helpful organizational tool.
