Managing the Crazy: Keeping a Car Kit for Life's Uh-Oh Moments

Every mom has had those moments. When your kid just puked on you and the car, not because they are sick, but because they ate something they shouldn't, you are running late and you realize you only put on one half of your eye makeup... There was a time when I would have given up and gone home. Sometimes I still do. But other times, I know that I need to push through and finish the day. I do not want to finish the day covered in puke or with half my makeup on though.

Enter the car kit. My car kit works in conjunction with my emergency kit that I keep in my purse. It hold the things that are either too big or aren't used enough to be carried everywhere. What is in the kit has changed with seasons and ages of my kids, but here is a current look into my box.

Top Left: We are about to add a little one to our household, so diapers, wipes, blankets, pacifiers, etc. This will expand once we know more about this babe or babes.

Top Right: T-shirts and socks for Mom and Dad. You never know when you might need a quick change. Depending on the season, both literally and figuratively, this might include work clothes or a swimsuit. Also, the bigger kids can use this stuff in a pinch.

Middle Right: Mom's Stuff... deoderant, perfume, dry shampoo, hair tie, etc.

Lower Right: A couple hats. We live in AZ and these have come in handy more than once when we make a quick pit stop somewhere.

Lower Middle: These are microfiber travel towels. They are so multi-function and can be used for almost anything. Pool towel, wipe up a spill,  burp cloth, put under something to protect the car.

Lower Left: Activities for the kids when they get bored. Think traffic, Grandma's, restaurant, etc.
