Organizing a Chore Chart: A Crib Spring Repurpose
Chores... the word the strike "sickness" in every child and exhaustion in moms all over America. It is so tough to find a way to motivate kids to want to help with chores. We have gone back and forth over the years about whether to pay our kids to do chores or not. On one hand, they live in our house and need to make a contribution to the household. On the other, they need to learn to manage, earn and value money. It seems that every family does this differently.

I use clothes pins (I found these cute chalkboard ones in the dollar bin at our craft store) to clip both a card with an assigned chore and the money (a dollar or two, depending on the chore) to the kids old crib spring. It is refilled once a week and is first come first serve. This has helped balance the chore fight at our house and motivate them to finish their regular chores so that they can move on to earning money for others. How do you handle chores at your house?
